Welcome to my website. Its purpose is to inform you of the latest updates in my triathlon training, charity work, professional career, projects, as well as provide you with a means to communicate with me.

On January 19, 2002, I will be carrying the Olympic Torch through San Francisco as part of the relay which leads to the start of the Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, Utah.  I am deeply honored to be selected by friends and  the Olympic Organizing Committee to represent cancer patients & survivors in the Bay Area.

This past August 26, 2001, I completed my first Ironman triathlon at Ironman Canada in British Columbia. The 10-month training program with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Ironteam 2001, the actual experience of participating in an Ironman --- swimming 2.4 miles, cycling 112 miles, then running a marathon 26.2 miles within the 17-hour limit, and helping to fundraise approximately $450,000.00 to benefit  Leukemia research, have been a very memorable and life-changing experience.

For me, Ironman Canada 2001 was a very special event as I proved to myself that in spite of my ongoing cancer treatment, I can still live a very full & meaningful life, pursue not only my dreams, but things that I've never even dreamed of - like completing an Ironman Triathlon.

Each of my triathlon event is inspired and dedicated to the memory of  someone who fought (or are currently fighting) their battle against cancer.  My heartfelt dedication goes to the memory of Andree Santos, Adrianne Feir, and Leon Pula. They were three young individuals who exemplified their battles against Leukemia, Hodgkin's Disease, and Testicular Cancer.  Their inspirational memories, along with your support, carried me to the finish line this past August 26, 2001.
